1. Types of Assessments
- Formative Assessments (FA): These assessments are conducted periodically to evaluate the continuous progress of students. They aim to measure students understanding and skills during regular classroom activities and learning processes.
- Summative Assessments (SA): These assessments are more formal and occur at the end of each term, evaluating the overall knowledge and skills students have acquired.
- Class Tests : Short tests to evaluate students understanding of specific topics.
- Project Work/Assignments: Students are required to complete projects, assignments, or research work, which contribute to their overall grade.
2. Co-Scholastic Activities
In addition to academic assessments, students are also evaluated on various co-scholastic areas to ensure balanced development:
- Life Skills (Critical thinking, communication, interpersonal relationships)
- Physical Education
- Art Education
- Work Experience
3. . Retest/Improvement Policy
- Students who are unable to perform satisfactorily in assessments are given the opportunity for retests or supplementary exams as per the school policy.
4.Reporting and Communication
- Regular Updates: Parents will receive periodic progress reports after each FA and SA assessment cycle.
- Parent-Teacher Meetings: Held to discuss a student’s overall performance, areas of strength, and improvement strategies.
